MADE FOR THE GAP

Because there’s a big difference between recovering from an injury and being ready to play again.
Return to Play is everything in between.

REHAB IS ONLY PART OF THE RETURN

Getting back to your sport takes more than being pain-free.

You need to rebuild strength. Regain fitness. Start running, jumping and changing direction again. Build confidence in your body. And eventually prepare for the demands of your sport.

Return to Play brings your rehab and performance training together, so there’s a clear pathway from where you are now to where you want to be.

WHAT YOU GET

No two injuries, athletes or returns look the same. Your training program is built around your injury, your current stage of rehab, your sport and the demands you need to get back to.

As you progress, so does your program. We continually adjust your training to make sure you're being challenged appropriately while still working towards the bigger goal - getting you back to performing at your best.

INDIVIDUALISED PROGRAMMING

COLLABORATIVE ALLIED HEALTH

Your rehab shouldn't stop at the physio room door.

Our onsite Allied Health Professionals and Strength & Conditioning coaches work together throughout your return, sharing information and making decisions around your training as you progress.

That means your rehab plan and your gym program aren't two separate things. They're part of the same plan, with everyone working towards the same goal.

Every two weeks, you'll have a dedicated 1:1 session with LJ, our Head of Rehab, focused entirely on your return.

These sessions are used to assess your progress, complete regular performance testing and work through the next stage of your rehab. We'll use objective data alongside how you're moving and performing to help guide what comes next.

As you progress, your 1:1s can include strength testing, running, jumping, landing, change of direction and other sport-specific testing and progressions relevant to your return.

Your results are tracked throughout the process, helping us identify what’s improving, what still needs work and when you're ready to progress to the next stage.

1:1 SESSIONS WITH OUR HEAD OF REHAB

PERFORMANCE TESTING

We don't want to guess whether you're getting stronger or closer to being ready. We want to measure it.

Performance testing allows us to objectively track your strength, power, movement and other key physical qualities throughout your return.

Your results help us identify where you've improved, where deficits still exist and what your training needs to focus on next.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACHING

When you’re not having your 1:1, you’ll have access to over 40 hours per week of our S&C Coaches. This means you won't be handed a program and left to figure it out on your own.

You'll train with our Strength & Conditioning coaches who understand where you're at in your return and what you're working towards. We'll coach your sessions, help manage your training loads and progressively rebuild the strength, power, speed, fitness and athletic qualities you need for your sport.

RECOVERY

Returning from injury means asking more and more of your body as your training progresses, so recovery becomes an important part of the process too.

Return to Play gives you access to GRIND's recovery facilities to help you manage your training week, recover between sessions and support the increasing demands of your program.
